Our day begins with the pick up from your hotel in Cusco around 4:00 am.
We will begin our trip by truck to the beginning of the trail, approximately 3 hours from Cusco to reach the Hanchipacha community, where we will stop for breakfast.
After that, we will take you 15 more minutes to the community of Quesiuno (4,326 m.a.s.l. / 14,189 feet).
We will start our walk for approximately 3 hours. On the way, we will be able to enjoy incredible landscapes of herds of alpacas and llamas, the Ausangate mountain, many red mountains and traditional local houses.
The mountains are one of the spectacular places in the Vilcanota mountain range, awaiting a natural coloration, this coloration is due to the presence of sedimentary stones in erosion. What is impressive is how the stones have been formed to form a set of seven colors.
When we finally reach the Rainbow Mountains (5,020 m.a.s.l. / 16,466 ft), you will have time to explore the area and take pictures.
We will spend approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour (depending on your trekking speed and weather conditions).
Afterwards, we will begin our walk back to the beginning of the trail that takes approximately 2 hours to the Quesiuno Community where we will take our transportation to the Hanchipacha community for lunch.
Then you will be transferred to Cusco to Plaza Regocijos, 2 blocks from Plaza de Armas.
