The surroundings of Tarapoto are full of paths that run through nature and are ideal for mountain biking. On this tour we will discover some of them and we will spend a pleasant day on a mountain bike interacting with nature.
The tour begins in the city of Lamas from where the mountain bike route begins for about 24 kilometers. We will travel a first section uphill (if desired, this part can be traveled by car) through the Cumbaza micro-basin immersed in the Cordillera Escalera Regional Conservation Area. Then we will descend along a horseshoe route and also a little-traveled affirmed road (without dangers), passing through the Chunchiwi Native Community and reaching San Roque de Cumbaza where after a good rest we can take a refreshing bath.
Later we will have lunch at the local lodge next to the river and after a short rest we depart again towards San Pedro de Cumbaza where we conclude our day and return to Tarapoto.
